It’s Addiction and Recovery Awareness Week at the Church of the Good Shepherd from March 19 to 26. All are invited to kick off the week at a 10 a.m. Sunday service on March 19.

At that service, addiction as a disease will be discussed. Talks include how each of us can be entrapped by addiction, and that the stigma of addiction needs to end so healing can begin.

Later in the week, a documentary film on the heroin epidemic on Cape Cod entitled “Heroin: Cape Cod, USA” will air on Friday, March 24. Following the film there will be guided discussion.

On Sunday, March 26, there will be an addiction and recovery forum. There will be presentations and information concerning addiction and addiction recovery programs. All are welcome to participate in these events of the week.
