Albert H. “Mike” Mooney, 88, of East Wareham, died Dec. 11 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Barbara F. (Howland) Mooney and the son of the late Albert H. and Florence (Hunt) Mooney.

He was born in Fitchburg and lived in Foxboro for over 50 years before moving to Wareham where he resided with his wife for seven years.

Mr. Mooney was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of the VFW Post in Foxboro and the American Legion Post in Foxboro.

Mr. Mooney worked as a Union Pipefitter for Local 537 in Boston.

Survivors include his daughter, Yvonne Kinsman of East Wareham; his daughter-in-law, Janet Mooney of North Attleboro;  a sister, Barbara White of East Wareham;  his grandchildren, Kristine Cauble, Randy Kinsman, Jeffery Mooney, Jarrett Mooney; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffery Mooney, his grandson, Robert J. Kinsman, Jr., his brother, Donald Mooney and his sister, Florence Moroney.

His graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
