Alberta Joy (Welshire) Zysek, 64, of Monument Beach passed away Sept. 12 at the Bourne Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of 44 years to David “Dave” Zysek of Monument Beach whom she met in sixth grade. She was born in Fairbanks, Alaska the daughter of the late Albert J. and Gale (McCambell) Welshire.

Mrs. Zysek attended Arizona Public Schools and graduated from Maryvale High School in Phoenix. She also attended Blair Dental School. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, had a love for animals and was the official family quilter.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: James A. Zysek of Arizona, Joseph M. of Arizona and Jeannie M. Poirier and her husband Chris of Wareham. She was the sister of Jack Stienman of Arizona, Jean Zysek of Arkansas and Kathy Hauser of Arizona. She was the grandmother of Amber Zysek and she was also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 19 in the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St., Wareham. Follow by a committal service at 1:15 p.m. in the Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd., Bourne. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
