Alice M. (Thatcher) (Jesus) Pina, 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Wareham Health Care after a long illness. Mrs. Pina was born in Bournedale, MA, to the late Josephine Corey (Thatcher) Gomes and the late Sylvester Thatcher. Mrs. Pina is the widow of the late Ralph Pina of Onset and was the sister of the late Emily J. Harris of Wareham. 

Mrs. Pina was a resident of Onset/Wareham for over 93 years. 

She is survived by her children: Paulette Harris of North Las Vegas; Michele (Paul) Fernandes of East Wareham; Terryjean Lopes of North Las Vegas; Mary Ann (Jack) Silva of Wareham; Ralph "Bubba" Pina of Raynham; Sylvester "Lester" (Crystal Silva) Pina of Onset; James S. (Leah Andrews) Pina of New Bedford and John M. Pina of New Bedford. Mrs. Pina was predeceased by her children: Robert Andrews, Roberta Baptiste and Emily Pina Veira; her Grandchildren: Trey Vaughn Miranda and Madison E. Gallagher, and her sons-in-law, Richard Harris of Las Vegas and Eugene M. Lopes of Onset. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Wayne, Karl, Walter and Jodi Baptiste of Wareham; Sean (Kathleen) Silva and Clinton J. (Christie) Silva of Wareham, Robert J. Silva of Wareham; Lavon Fernandes of New Bedford; Jessica (Jason) Campbell of Raynham; Kena (David) Gallagher of Lakeville; Hartmut (Christine) Andrade of Wareham, Rory Barrows of Onset; Kyle J. Pina of Wareham; Jacqueline (Sam) Brunner of Rhode Island; James Julius Pina of Wareham and Felicia and Marcus Pina of Florida. She is also survived by 17 great grand children and 10 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves her close cousins Arthur (Bubba) Monteiro of Wareham; Stephen Baptiste, Sr. of Onset and Glen Monteiro of Wareham; Clyde (Butch) Monteiro of New York and Kathyrn Pina and family of Osterville. She also leaves behind her former daughters-in-law and son-in-law: Doreen (Pina) Silvia, Joann Barrows, Rita Capotosto Pina, Toby Pina and Braford Bulgar.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery.
