Andrew Webb Bankson, of East Wareham, passed unexpectedly on March 17, 2020. He is the son of Dr. Nicholas Webb Bankson, of Onset, MA, and Naples, FL, and the late Lou Ann Hasselbeck Bankson. He is survived by two sisters, Sally Bankson Gandiaga (Carlos), of Charlotte, NC, and Susan Bankson Smyth (Matthew), of Cincinnati, OH, as well as two beloved nieces, Sigourney Smyth, Gigi Gandiaga, and nephew, Simon Smyth. Andy’s son, Michael Carter, passed in June 2020 in Bourne, MA. Andy was born in 1965 in Kansas City, MO, and raised in Overland Park, KS, Rockville, MD, and Winchester, MA. He was a graduate of Winchester High School and the Rhode Island Trade Shops School for autobody repair. He worked in the fields of autobody repair, landscaping, home painting, and construction. He especially loved boating and fishing in the Onset area. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church and for many years spent his summers on the Church Campgrounds in Onset. He was noted for his lively personality, warmth, generosity, and sense of humor. He is greatly missed and remembered by his family and many friends.
