Anna Maglio, 87

Anna B. Maglio, 87, of Wareham, died Monday, Dec. 31 at the home of her daughter in Marion after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Vincent A. Maglio.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McQuade) McBride. She grew up in Chelsea and graduated from Revere High School. She moved to Braintree in 1951 and lived there until 2004 when she moved to her summer home year-round in Wareham.

Mrs. Maglio was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham. She enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Hobomock Hoedowners Square Dance Club. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen A. Maglio and her husband Col. Jonathan F. Henry USA (RET) of Marion. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, the late Robert J. Maglio and Paul R. Maglio; and her siblings, the late Arthur McBride, Rita Smith, John McBride, Leo McBride, and Frank McBride. Also surviving are many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, Jan. 7 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Rita’s Church, Front St., Marion at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
