Anthony P. Andrade, 93, of Onset died April 27 in the Providence V.A. Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island. He was the husband of the late Marie S. (Perry) Andrade and the son of the late Manuel and Amelia (Pires) Andrade.

He was born in Wareham and lived in Onset for most of his life.

Mr. Andrade started his career as a barber and later became a member of the Laborer’s Union and worked in the construction field for many years as a foreman and a superintendent before retiring. He was the owner of Andrade Construction Co. Inc.

He enjoyed spending Sunday nights in New Bedford with his brothers, bowling, watching the Red Sox and the soaps, shooting craps, spending time with his two little boys, cooking and was known for his chili.

He is survived by his two sons Leslie Andrade of San Leandro, California and Leslie Andrade, Jr. and his wife Kendra of West Wareham; two daughters Nina Andrade of San Leandro, California and Gina Andrade of Falmouth; two brothers, William P. Andrade of Onset and Raymond P. Andrade of Chester, Virginia; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Anthony G. Andrade, brothers Charles P. Andrade, John P. Andrade and a sister Mary Valles Gonsalves of Livermore, California.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11, in St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay. Burial will be private.
