Antonia Olivia (Gonsalves) Gomes, 99, died Monday, October 17 at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham. She was the widow of the late Julio P. Gomes.

Born in Falmouth the daughter of the late Philip & Mary (Silvia) Gonsalves, she attended Falmouth schools. She worked as a domestic in private homes.

A longtime resident of Onset, Mrs. Gomes was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Onset.

Survivors include her sons, Felix P. Gomes of Marion, Robert G. Gomes of Falmouth and Joseph Gomes of Taunton; 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, the late Julio P. Gomes, Jr. and David Gomes, and her daughters, Margaret Gomes, Christina Gomes and Marguerite Gomes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs., Oct. 20 at St. Mary’s Church, Onset Ave., Onset at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Relatives and friends may visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
