Armed robbery at West Wareham Cumberland Farms

A lone man wielding a handgun robbed an undetermined about of cash from the Cumberland Farms in West Wareham early Saturday morning, Wareham police report.

No one was hurt in the incident. Police say the suspect, described as a 5'11" man wearing a gray sweatshirt and a dark bandana or mask, is still at large.

According to police, officers responded to the Cumberland Farms store at 2360 Cranberry Highway regarding a reported armed robbery incident at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, March 1.

They said the store clerk reported being instructed to hand over cash from the registers by a man who held a handgun during the incident.
