Police have arrested a female who allegedly entered an unlocked car in the Forestview Nursing Home parking lot in Wareham and stole a credit card.

Thirty-year-old Kristen Lynn Dacosta of 22 College Lane, Apartment A in North Dartmouth was positively identified as the female who was viewed on store surveillance tapes in New Bedford, where she allegedly used the stolen credit card to purchase another $500 credit card, according to a Wareham Police press release.

Dacosta will face charges alleged breaking and entering into a vehicle, larceny of a credit card, and improper use of a credit card over $250.

Dacosta has been arraigned at the Wareham Fourth District Court on those charges.

Once Dacosta was identified from the videotape photographs, a search warrant for her vehicle and home address was applied for, along with an arrest warrant, police said.

As a result of the search into her apartment in Dartmouth, jewelry that was reported stolen during a house break in Plymouth was recovered. Plymouth detectives will investigate further into the matter.

Wareham Police Chief Richard Stanley commended the investigative actions of the Wareham Police Department's Detective and Patrol Divisions, as well as the detectives of the Marion and Dartmouth Police Departments, who provided valuable information with regard to the identification and eventual arrest of Dacosta.
