Arthur W. Preti, 92, of Wareham, formerly of Middleboro, died Jan. 19, 2020, in Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of the late Gail F. (Peterson) Preti and the son of the late Alfred and Delchesa (Tousini) Preti.

He was born in Middleboro and lived there most of his life before moving to Wareham four years ago. He was a World War II Army Veteran.

Mr. Preti worked at Lakeville Hospital and Rehabilitation Center for 30 years before  retiring in 1981. He later worked for Alden Shoe Company.

He was a member of the Middleboro Lodge of Elks and the Mitchell Memorial Organization.

Survivors include his son, David Preti of Raynham; a stepdaughter, Kim Cormier of Wareham; a stepson, Wayne Hammond of Acushnet; 7 grandchildren, Troy and Jodi Preti, Colin and Brooke Hammond, Alisha Hill, Erica and Heather Cormier. He was the father of the late Dana A. Preti and Douglas A. Preti.

His graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
