A Plympton man was placed under arrest Thursday, October 3, at approximately 2 p.m., after a search of Cape Cod Auto, located at 252 Onset Ave., turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia in the main office of the business.

Police obtained a warrant to search the business following an investigation by the Wareham Police Department Detective Division, and officers from the Patrol Division, into the sale of narcotics at the location.

The Bourne Police Department's K-9 unit assisted in the search.

Police found approximately 10 grams of "suspected heroin", digital scales, baking soda, and plastic baggies, according to reports.

Fifty-one-year-old Christopher Dudley, the owner of Cape Cod Auto, is charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and violating drug laws within 1,000 feet of a school or playground.

The business is adjacent to Lope's Playground, and less than 1,000 feet from the Hammond School and its playground.

Dudley is scheduled to be arraigned in Wareham District Court Friday, October 4.
