Barbara Ramsay, 84
Barbara L. Ramsay, 84, of West Wareham died June 30 at her home after a long illness.
Born in Braintree, she was the daughter of the late Albert R and Ambellina (Govoni) Hagen. A registered nurse, Mrs. Ramsay worked at Tobey Hospital for 31 and a half years.
She was a longtime faithful communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick’s Church. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscan Order.
Survivors include her children, Elizabeth Whitcomb of Windemere, Florida, Jean Spink of West Wareham, Thomas W. Ramsay, Jr. of Monticello, Maine, James Ramsay of Rochester and Stephen Ramsay of Cypress, Texas; her brothers, Albert Hagen of Hooksett, New Hampshire and John Hagen of Attleboro.
Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham on Saturday, July 8 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
