Benefit for 7-year-old cancer patient
The public is invited to a benefit for 7-year-old Hailey Jean Pease of Wareham who is fighting for her life after being diagnosed with Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The benefit will be held on Saturday, July 9 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m at the Elks Lodge, located at 2855 Cranberry Highway.
Tickets are now on sale. The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child. The price includes a meal of spaghetti and meatballs and a garden salad. A DJ will provide the entertainment. There will also be a moonwalk, a scavenger hunt, face painting, temporary tattoos, and animal balloons for the kids.
A raffle will also be held. Items include jewelry and gift certificates for computer maintenance as well as dinners at a number of local restaurants.

All of the proceeds from the event will help support Hailey’s family financially. Hailey is being treated at Children's Hospital Boston. Her mother, Shannon, has had to take a medical leave from work and her father, Rick, has taken time off to visit with Hailey.
