Benjamin Andrews, Jr., 82
Wareham-Benjamin Andrews, Jr. (82), passed away at home after a long illness. He was born in Falmouth the son of the late Benjamin and Mary Lillian (Pires) Andrews Sr.
He attended Falmouth Public Schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in Falmouth. A construction laborer Mr. Andrews worked out of Laborers Union local # 876 for 50 years. He was a member of the Mitchell Club of Middleborough and enjoyed Cribbage, card playing and social events. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was lovingly known as “Uncle Ben”.
He is survived by his wife Eugenia (Alves) Andrews, his children: Todd Andrews of Wareham, Bryan Andrews of Freetown, Rhonda Andrews of New Bedford and Benjamin Andrews, III and his wife Jennifer of Springfield. Grandfather of: Brandon Pina, LaShea and her husband Hector Marcial, Bryan Andrews Jr., Ryan Andrews, Trevor Brown, Daesia Andrews and Jaden Andrews. Great Grandfather of Zayvier, Nyrae, Keandra, Omahri, Trevor Jr., Nariyah, Uriah and Grayson. Brother of Morris, Nelson, Raymond, Steven Andrews, Vivian Sharpe, Geraldine Hicks, Wendy Andrews and Vasco Pires.
Pre-deceased by siblings Donald, James, Ralph, Lawrence, Sandra Andrews, Dennis Rose, Keith Pires, Robert Pires, Gertrude Roderick, Lorraine Jones, Linda Basey, Theodora Barrows, Elizabeth Rocha, Carolyn Roderick
He was also survived by his partner Gloria Santos and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday January 7, 2025 at 11:15 Am in Massachusetts National Cemetery 1 Bennington Blvd. Bourne, MA 02532. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
