Betsy (Bouchard) Walton, 55, died peacefully May 3, 2010, surrounded by her family following a long illness.

Born October 4, 1954, she was a beloved daughter of the late Rene J. and Jean C. Bouchard, Jr. of Kingston. Betsy graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Kingston and continued on to Smith College in Northampton, from which she graduated in 1978.

Her career began at JTM Associates in Plymouth. In 1997, she relocated to Denver, CO. to work for XEL Communications. At the time of her death, Betsy was a principal Corporate Marketing Writer for Sycamore Networks located in Chelmsford.

Betsy loved traveling and gardening, and she was an avid Scrabble player.

Survivors include her beloved companion and soulmate Mark Collins, formerly of Wareham, her cherished daughter Abby Walton, a 2007 Smith College graduate, and Mark's daughter Kaileen Crane of Falmouth. She also leaves behind her loving sister Amy Bouchard and fiancé William Hagger, of Plymouth, and her brother Rene Bouchard III and his wife Mary, of Paget, Bermuda.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 8 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte. 28), Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Visiting hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 7, at the funeral home.
