Blue skies and blue crabs
On Sunday, Sept. 3, under the shining sun, friends and families got together on Merchants way to do some blue crab fishing in the Wareham River.
Using chicken legs tied to strings and anchored by bricks and heavy rocks, participants lured the crabs to them before catching them in a net.
One participant said she waits for the chicken legs to have a bit of a smell to them as it helps attract the crabs.
She added the crabs also prefer more overcast weather, so the sunny day left those fishing at a slight disadvantage.
