With a win, a loss, and a draw in games during school vacation week, the Bourne-Mashpee-Wareham (BMW) girls ice hockey team is now 3-1-1 for the season.

The BMW girls started the holiday week games with a December 28 win against visiting Notre Dame Academy. Down by two goals, the BMW team cracked the scoreboard on a Nicole Anthony goal assisted by Brittney St. Germaine before tying the game on a solo score from Shayna Santiago in the second period.

Both teams played intense hockey, matching each other on their next two goals. Kate Albresten and Dylan Innis kept BMW in the hunt with a goal each on feeds from Monica Conway and Tess MacDonald.

BMW kept the pressure on Notre Dame throughout the third period with MacDonald stealing the win on a goal set up by Elizabeth St. Germaine and Natalia Gordon. The final score was 5-2.

After suffering its first loss of the season to Barnstable on New Year's Eve, the BMW team picked itself up and posted a 1-1 tie against Hingham on Monday, January 2.

Captain Elizabeth St. Germaine scored the lone goal for the BMW. Hingham matched the goal, but couldn't get by the BMW defense and goalie Ariel St. Germaine.
