Boating safety course coming up

The Harbor Master Department and the Massachusetts Environmental Police will hold a boating safety course June 1 and 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wareham Multi-Service Center, located at 48 Marion Road.
The course will teach the basics of boating safety free of charge. Students ages 12-15 who successfully complete the course will be given a Safety Certificate allowing them to operate a motorboat without adult supervision. The course will also satisfy the state requirements for personal watercraft users who are 16 and 17.
Taking the class as a family is encouraged, and all graduates will be issued a Safety Certificate. Click here to register.
