Bobby E. Taylor, 82, of Buzzards Bay, died March 15, 2019 in Sippican Healthcare Center, Marion. He was the husband of the late E. Mildred Taylor and the son of the late William E. and Lola May (Palmore) Taylor.

He was born in Corinth, MS and lived in Wareham for many years before moving to Buzzards Bay.

He served in the United States Navy. He then served in the Massachusetts National Guard for 22 years retiring as a Sergeant.

Mr. Taylor worked as a self-employed painting contractor in the area for many years.

He enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino, blueberrying, digging quahogs and working.

Survivors include a son, William R. Taylor of New Bedford; 3 daughters, Jeanne Taylor of Buzzards Bay, Nancy Bailey of East Wareham and Priscilla Hartshorn and her husband, Mark of West Wareham; a brother, Roy Taylor of Oneida, KY; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 sisters, 5 brothers, and a grandson, Mark Robbins, Jr.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.

His funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
