A local jazz band will be playing the most local venue — a porch in Onset at 25 West Central Avenue — on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m.

The band is ‘Bob’s Chili Combo,’ ans is named in honor of the meals prepared for bandmates by vibes player Bob Keough, when the band gather’s in Keough’s basement to rehearse.

This is the third year running for what the band calls a ‘One-Porch Onset Porchfest, taking place on guitarist Mitch Rosenberg’s porch.

“The audience to date has been mostly neighbors, plus friends and family of the band, but we would be glad to see others stop by for a listen,” said Keough.
