Boys basketball back to winning ways
The boys basketball team maintained their first place position in the South Coast Conference with Sunday's 67-42 victory at Greater New Bedford Voc-Tech.
After losing two straight games for the first time in years, the Vikings have reeled off two straight double digit wins, after Sunday's victory and a 74-56 win over Apponequet on Jan. 15.
"I thought we showed intensity on defense holding Voke’s leading scorer, McCabe Martins, to three foul shouts," said Vikings coach Kevin Brogioli. "We also ran the ball well and played unselfishly."
Junior guard Andrew White had a game-high 23 points and was helped by captain Mason Vasconcellos, who had 16 second half points.
The 6-1 Vikings will play their next game at second place Old Rochester Regional High School on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
