Boys & Girls Club after-school program enrolling, student volunteers sought
Wareham's Boys & Girls Club is continuing to enroll children ages 7 to 13 in its after-school program.
Children are bused from Minot Forest Elementary and Decas Elementary. Wareham Middle School students walk to the club.
The program features the Boys & Girls Club of America's Power Hour homework help program, which provides an opportunity for students to complete their homework and prepare for the next school day's activities.
For more information, call 508-295-5400, e-mail sullivanbgc@comcast.net or jgloddy@comcast.net, visit www.bgcnewbedford.org, or stop by the club, located on Viking Drive, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Boys & Girls Club is also seeking JROTC and honor society students to volunteer after school and help chaperone Friday night dances. Volunteer positions sometimes lead to employment.
