Brian Scott Barros, 53

May 16, 2022

Brian Scott Barros, 53, head supervisor at Teen Challenge, went to be with God on February 28, 2022. Brian passed from a massive heart attack while sitting in his car to get the medication he needed.

A couple of days before his death, he had the honor to preach the word of God to his brothers at Teen Challenge. In his sermon, he told them, “Don’t give up, keep going, finish the race.”

Brian didn’t know his race would be over soon.

He was in no way an angel, but he always knew who God was. When his life got to the point when it caused so much pain, not only to himself, but to those he loved, he turned it all to God.

God worked through Brian to inspire others to turn their lives over to God.He told them “Only God can forgive.” Brian is home because of what Christ has done for us, dying on the cross and because of the love of God Brian had for Christ.

He would often say, “You can start off bad, but win the race at the end.”

Brian loved his wife and family. His children were always in his heart.

His family would like to thank all the Brothers at Teen Challenge who attended Brian’s services, and all our family and friends who came as well.

Many people asked if it was a drug overdose. It wasn’t, but even if it was, it wouldn’t matter, for he is gone. If only people thought before they spoke. Addiction is a disease, and it’s taking a lot of lives. If you can’t help that person, pray for them, for only God is the judge in this life.

Brian is home, and he is good because of his love for God. Thank you. Please keep us in your prayers.
