Buzzards Play Productions is bringing the big laughs to the small stage when it hosts the Crash Course Comedy Showcase on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The comedy event, which grew out of the Third Tuesday Open Mic Nights at the Buzzards Play theatre, features eight up and coming comics from Boston, New York and Cape Cod.

Some of those appearing are: Ben Quick, Owen Linders, Justin P. Drew, Pete Andrews and Steve Bix. As on Open Mic Nights, A.J. Hapenny will be the host. The night will also feature special guests Matt Withrow and Andy Prete and the headliner for the evening will be Suzi Berlin.

The comedy starts at 7:30pm, doors open at 7 p.m. Buzzards Play Productions is located at 3065 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham. Tickets are $5 online at www.brownpapertickets.com/findanevent and $8 at the door.
