Cape Cod Five donates to Wareham school

The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank on Monday donated $5,000 to the Wareham School District for technology purchases in the computer lab at the Wareham Cooperative School.
The computer lab is intended to help students ages 12 through 23, and will support independent online research and allow students to access Power Point presentations, digital photography, video software, student websites and blogs, and other valuable learning tools.
Dorothy A. Savarese, Cape Cod Five’s president and CEO, presented the check to Wareham Schools Superintendent Kimberly Shaver-Hood. They were joined by Christopher Richards, Cape Cod Five’s southeastern massachusetts regional manager, and mortgage loan officer Jim Austin, who is a graduate of Wareham High School.
“The Wareham Cooperative School plays an important role in improving the lives of at-risk students who might otherwise not receive the education that is essential for success in life," Savarese said. "As a bank dedicated to serving our communities, we are very pleased to support the school’s efforts, and to help provide opportunities for its students.”
The Bank will open a new banking center at Rosebrook Place in Wareham in June.
