Car flips, two hospitalized in Route 6 crash

Mar 21, 2023

Two people were rushed to the hospital after a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 6 and Cromesett Road on Sunday, March 19.

One of the drivers, Natasha Whitford of Carver, broke her femur and suffered facial injuries after her car flipped three times, ejecting her through the windshield.

Her 4-year-old son, a passenger, was unhurt, according to a friend of Whitford’s who spoke to Wareham Week.

According to a GoFundMe set up for Whitford, she will be moved to a rehabilitation center for treatment.

Wareham Fire Chief John Kelley corroborated the details given by Whitford’s friend.

The other person taken to the hospital sustained minor injuries, Kelley said. When reached for comment, Wareham Police Chief Walter Correia could not say whether they were a driver or passenger.
