WAREHAM – Carol “Lynne” (Kiernan) Rhodes, 81, of Wareham died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Royal of Fairhaven after a long illness.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Carolyn (Dustin) & Paul Kiernan. She graduated from Wareham High School, Class of 1959 and received her bachelor’s degree from Westbrook College in Maine.

Carol taught in Wareham Elementary Schools for 30 years. She loved teaching and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at the beach.

She is survived by her son, Michael P. Rhodes and his wife Katie of Heathrow, FL, and Kathryn Rhodes and her husband John Eldridge of Wareham, and her grandchildren, Jack Rhodes, and Jamie and Adam Eldridge. She is also survived by her special cousin, Judy Kiernan Galavotti of Wareham.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
