Carver woman charged with breaking into cars in Walmart parking lot
A Carver woman was charged with larceny and breaking and entering into two cars after Wareham Police confronted her in the Walmart parking lot on Tobey Road on March 9.
At approximately 9 a.m., officers responded to a call reporting a woman attempting to enter cars in the parking lot by checking for unlocked doors.
The woman, later identified as 37-year-old Christine Erickson, was rummaging through a tool box on the back of a pickup truck when officers arrived, police said. The owner of the pickup truck arrived and confirmed Erickson had broken into the truck and stolen items.
Officers noticed a second vehicle parked near the pickup truck that had also been entered and had items removed by Erickson.
Erickson had also driven to Walmart in a Ford Escape that had been reported stolen from a driveway in Middleboro earlier in the day. The stolen vehicle was recovered in the Walmart parking lot, according to police.
Erickson has been charged with two counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, larceny under $250, and receiving stolen property. She will also face criminal charges from the Middleboro Police Department regarding the stolen Ford Escape.
