Charles E. Mullin, 75

Charles E. Mullin, 75, of Wareham, died June 12 in Tobey Hospital. He was the son of the late James I. and Clara D. (Hughes) Mullin.

He was born in Newton and lived in Dorchester and San Francisco before moving to Wareham.

Mr. Mullin served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1958.

Mr. Mullin operated the Zamboni for the MDC in Boston for years before being injured on the job. While living in California he was a member of the Teamsters. He enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include two sisters, Lois C. “Kay” Walsh and her late husband, James of N. Weymouth and H. Arlene Russo and her late husband James of Plymouth; a sister-in-law, Pauline Steele of TN. He was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses: Francis Mullin, James Mullin, Dennis Mullin and his wife Joan, Leo Mullin and his wife Mary, Philip Mullin and his first wife Margaret and second wife Barbara; Samuel Mullin, Barbara Beck and her husband Oliver, Mary Currie and her husband James, and Claire Freestone and her husband Robert.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 19 in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High Street, Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours are from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
