Charles “Skip” Lewis Wurtzburger III, 52, died at 3:33 p.m. on February 23 renal failure.

Skip was born on Jan. 3, 1962 in Philadelphia, Penn., raised in Connecticut, Cocoa Beach, Florida, Whitman, Mass., then finally settling on Cape Cod. He spent 15 years of his life in Onset.

From childhood Skip began acquiring sports memorabilia and amassed an enormous collection. He was an extreme music enthusiast, especially country and rock. He loved fishing, the ocean, socializing, making people laugh and was always willing to give a helping hand. Most of all he loved his family and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica Wurtzbrger, a granddaughter, Gabrielle, his father, Charles Lewis Wurtzburger, Jr., two sisters, Lauri Avery, Jan McFadden, a brother, Michael Wurtzburger, a close cousin Cheryl Proulx and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by mother Anne McCall, who died just five week prior.
