Cheryl Gracia, 56
Cheryl Anne Gracia, 56, of Wareham passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Tobey Hospital with her family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 12, 1966 in Wareham, she was the daughter of Barbara (Pires) Gracia of Wareham and the late Alton L. Gracia.
Cheryl graduated from Wareham High School in 1984, Fisher College and was a lifelong Wareham resident. She never married and had no children.
She was actively employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Trial Court for the past 28 years in different administrative positions until her passing.
She loved spending time with her family and socializing. Cheryl enjoyed long days at the beach reading and relaxing, going out to eat and taking rides in her convertible Mercedes with her dog “Bentley” to visit family and friends. She was well known for her sense of style in the way she dressed and had a special knack for interior decorating. Most recently she got into gardening and always took great pride in remodeling her home. She will be remembered for her compassion, strong personality and kindhearted spirit.
Cheryl is survived by her mother, Barbara (Pires) Gracia of Wareham; her sister Wanda Gracia of New Bedford; nephews, Jarrod Gracia, Jason Gracia, Tyrone Gracia, Brandon Gracia, Richard Gaskins; niece, Janelle Mendes. She is also survived by a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.
She was the sister of the late Richard Pires of Boston and the late Marcella Gracia of Hyannis. Cheryl was cremated at her request and asked for no funeral service. A celebration of life service will be held in her honor to memorialize her life. She will be dearly missed by her family.
