Children's consignment shop to open on Marion Road
Remember how long your three-month-old fit into that adorable little blue-and-yellow striped Ralph Lauren onesie?
Yeah... about three minutes.
Now it, and about 50 other onesies, are overflowing from Junior's dresser drawers. And he just outgrew his latest size faster than you could clean up the mashed peas he launched at the wall when your back was turned at lunchtime.
But do not fret. Help is on the way! (For the onesies, at least.)
Zoolittle 2, a consignment shop offering gently-used children's clothing, will open its doors on Marion Road this month, giving parents the opportunity to empty the dresser of that stuff Junior wore for three minutes and fill it with things Junior will, possibly, wear for longer than that.
Owner Jenny Rainville decided she had to open a second Zoolittle location when her five-year-old North Attleboro store and warehouse started overflowing.
"It just kept getting fuller and fuller," Rainville said. "Eventually, I thought, 'I have enough for two stores.'"
The store, which will be run by family-friend Tiffanie Castro, will sell clothing from newborn to kids' size 14, along with baby furniture, toys, and other kid-related products.
"We really concentrate on brand names," Rainville said. "Old Navy and Osh Kosh are the lower end of the scale."
Rainville opened the North Attleboro Zoolittle after retiring from a position in the retail department of the Salvation Army.
She grew tired of retirement, she said, and opened Zoolittle to fill her time.
"It's a little adventure," Rainville said.
Zoolittle 2 is slated to open at 171 Marion Road by November 16.
