Christmas on the Pier

Dec 13, 2020

Christmas carols filled the air at the Onset Pier on Sunday afternoon for a socially-distanced drive-thru holiday event hosted by the Onset Bay Association and the Onset Bay Center.

Visitors were treated to goodie bags filled with hot cocoa, tiny magnifying glasses, Onset Bay Association bracelets, candy, and activities, and “unicorn poop.”

“Nothing says Christmas more than unicorn poop,” joked volunteer Sue Anne Murley.

Kids could also drop off their letters to Santa and say hello to the big man himself.

“It’s so worth it when the kids drive through,” said volunteer Jody Moore. “They’re so excited.”

“Everybody’s been really receptive, really happy, and really generous,” said Kat Jones of the Onset Bay Center.

Although there was a bit of a chill in the air, the weather held out for the festive event.

“We’re all enjoying ourselves,” volunteer Noah Young said.
