Christopher Noah Dorne’, 17, of East Wareham, passed away Tuesday July 8, 2014 at Boston Children’s Hospital from complications associated with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Born in Falmouth, MA, Christopher was the beloved son of Carolyn Dorne’ and stepson of Michael Lopes.

Christopher attended Wareham Public Schools where he had just completed his junior year and was a member of the DECA Club, member of Best Buddies, and enrolled in JROTC. He enjoyed writing “Cliffhangers” which he had hopes of having published, and also loved to draw. Everyone talked about his great sense of humor and wit. He was very interested in the military, particularly the Wounded Warrior Project.

Christopher was the grandson of Marian Dorne’ and the late Donal Dorne’, of Monroe, CT. He was the nephew of Barbara Dorne’ McWilliams of West Harwich, MA and David and Jennifer Dorne’ of New Milford, CT. He was also survived by his cousins Molly and David McWilliams; Jessie, Dylan and Madeline Dorne’; and many loving relatives and friends.

Christopher’s family wishes to thank all those who supported him throughout his years at school, as well as the wonderful staff at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Memorial visitation for Christopher will be on Saturday July 26, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wareham Village Funeral Home, 5 Center Street, Wareham, MA. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

Christopher’s Memorial Service and burial will be at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church On-the-Green, 175 Old Tannery Road Monroe, CT, on Sunday, July 27, at 12 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially welcome to attend.
