Claire H. Gordon, 97

On January 23rd, 2026, Claire H. Gordon of Wareham, passed away at the age of 97.

She was the wife of the late Colin Gordon, and is survived by her children; Bruce Gordon and his wife Kim Kee of Canton, Patricia Capachione of Wareham, Peter Gordon and his wife Theresa of Wareham; grandchildren, Poh Kheong, Poh Yee. Michael, Jonathan, David, Alexandra, and Joshua and great grandchildren, Jo Vee, Jo Hann, Rowan, Claire, Elle, Ryder, and Callie and her many nieces and nephews.

Claire was born in Plymouth to Karam and Ida Haddad. She was the sister of Phyllis Haddad, Eleanor Senay, Karam Haddad Jr, John Haddad, Mildred Zimmerman, and Robert Haddad. She married her high-school sweetheart and later worked with him at the telephone company for many years.

A parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham, she was devoted to her faith, and her family, retiring early at the age of 55 to care for her grandchildren. She became an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, delivering the sacrament to anyone unable to attend Mass. She was an avid painter, an organizer for the Class of '48 activities, and the telephone company alumni.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 9 to 10:30 AM, Followed by a Mass at Saint Patrick's Church, 82 High Street, Wareham beginning at 11AM.
