On Sunday, September 11, the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation will host its 15th annual Cliff Walk for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease.

The fundraiser will be held at the Buzzards Bay Recreation Area in Buzzards Bay and is sponsored by Superior Rail and Iron Works and Cape Cod Broadcasting.

More than 800 participants are expected to attend the event that will feature raffles, prizes, food, games, a balloon man, face painting, live musical entertainment, and a scenic 7-mile walk along the Cape Cod Canal.

Proceeds will benefit research efforts as well as the many in-house patient programs of the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation.
