Coat drive rounds up over 150 coats for kids in need
Nov 29, 2015
It’s been over a decade since Chris Thornell started collecting coats at his office for Wareham’s needy kids, after reading a school flyer requesting coat donations.
“I was surprised to find out that there was such a need,” said Thornell, who runs New England Family Chiropractic.
This year, Thornell said, the office collected 153 new winter coats, most of which were donated by Thornell’s patients. They were then taken to the Office of Beyond School Time in the Multi Service Center on Nov. 24, and made available to anyone who needs to take them.
