Coffee and a carnival
Dunkin Donuts employees turned their parking lot into a carnival on Tuesday, May 11, in an effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
"Everyone in the store knows someone with cancer," said Melanie Dias, manager of the West Wareham Dunkin Donuts. "[We're] just pulling together to try to make a difference."
Nearly all of the carnival favorites were represented: a ring toss, bean-bag toss, duck pond, and more. Prizes included everything from sunglasses to stuffed animals to live fish.
The "Press Your Luck" game came with a very special "prize." For $2, carnival-goers could choose a mystery box, which might contain a bucket of water, silly string, a pie, or nothing at all. Lucky players could then cover a Dunkin Donuts employee with whatever was inside the box.
"We try to do something fun every month" for customers, Dias said.
The carnival fundraiser will be held again on Friday, May 14. Head to the Dunkin Donuts at 2360 Cranberry Highway to press your luck!
