Cookies come to Wareham
There’s a new option in town for Wareham residents looking for their sweet-treat fix, as a Crumbl Cookies opened up last Friday, March 29, 1 Tobey Road Unit 2C, next to the Chipotle. Crumbl is a national chain known for its specialty cookies.
“Wareham has been a great community to open up in,” said franchise owner Pam Arias.
Pam and her husband Matthew have the rights to the Crumbl Cookie franchise across the South Coast area. They first encountered the chain out in Colorado, where Matthew was attending culinary school.
While Doordashing out in Colorado, Matthew took a delivery from a Crumbl Cookies and was struck by the place’s popularity.
From there, the couple ended up with a South Coast franchise from a combination of Matthew’s experience running a Little Caesars franchise in Alabama and Pam’s Massachusetts roots; she is from the state originally, and remembers growing up boating in Onset.
The Wareham location is the Arias’ fourth in the South Coast, after openings in Hanover, Plymouth and Dedham.
While looking to expand the franchise, they were told they had to check out Wareham, said Pam. She added, customers at their Plymouth store were excited to hear about the Wareham expansion, saying they may go there instead.
So far, the Wareham location has been “very well received,” said Pam.
