A one-car accident Tuesday afternoon resulted in a serious neck injury for one person and damaged a sign in front of a Cranberry Highway business.

The accident occurred in front of Total Auto Concepts near the intersection of Tremont Street and Cranberry Highway at approximately 3:30 p.m.

A person involved was taken from the scene by ambulance with a potentially critical neck injury, according to initial emergency broadcasts.

It’s unclear at this time what caused the accident.
