Daffodils for Kirah to kick off Sunday, benefits SIDS research
The Old Company Store and the Tihonet Village Market will host a planting ceremony to kick off the Daffodils for Kirah project Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9 a.m. on the corner of Route 28 and Tihonet Road. Attendees have the chance to plant bulbs with the supplied planters and hear from speakers. Community members are able to support the fundraiser by purchasing daffodil bulbs for their own yards for $5 at the Old Country Store.
Daffodils for Kirah benefits research for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and to "make hope bloom in Wareham." The organization is in memory of an 18-day-old baby named Kirah who was lost to SIDS. The Old Company Store purchased the bulbs, while the Tihonet Village Market will be planting them, under the guidance of the Wareham Garden Club.
