Damien’s Food Pantry benefit concerts continue July 5
Musician Chris Coile will perform a concert to benefit Damien’s Place Food Pantry on July 5.
The show is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Fan Club, located at 2859 Cranberry Highway in Wareham. Singers Debbie Bokelkamp and Mark Darling will join Coile on stage.
Future concerts will be held on July 19; Aug. 2, 16 and 30; and Sept. 13.
Coile will perform hits from The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater, Bobby Darin, The Beatles, Elvis, Carol King, Martina McBride, Simon and Garfunkel, Buddy Holly and many more.
There is no cost to attend, but donations are welcome and support Damien’s Place. Anyone who donates more than $5 will receive one of Coile’s CDs.
Last year, Damien’s Place supplied 57,200 bags of food to over 8,400 families, from Buzzards Bay to New Bedford. There are over 115 volunteers working at the pantry helping their neighbors.
The pantry is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The East Wareham pantry has helped those in need for more than 24 years.
