Dana M. Raymond, 70, of W. Wareham, died Monday, August 23, 2021, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, surrounded by his family.

Born in Long Beach, CA, he was the son of Ann M. (Grassi) Raymond of W. Wareham and the late James H. Raymond, Jr. Dana graduated from Wareham High School and attended Northeastern University. He was a previous resident of Ft. Myers, FL.

Dana was a groundskeeper for Friends Academy in Dartmouth for many years. He also worked as a lineman for Adelphia Cable Co., a bog technician for A.D. Makepeace, a commercial fisherman, and as a general mechanic, including for Kaip’s Outboard in W. Wareham.

Dana loved to ride motorcycles. He was a member of the 4 W’s (Wicked Wild Weekend Warriors) Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed camping and the outdoors, especially at Big Island in Plymouth. Dana was also a survivalist and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren survival skills. Family and friends would describe Dana as having a big heart who would give you the shirt off his back.

Survivors include his daughters, Sheena M. Amaral and her husband Jared, Tara A. Raymond and her husband Keenan Ormsbee, and Shanda Raymond all of Wareham; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Ormsbee, Kelsi Ormsbee, Daniel Newcomb Jr., Kylah Ormsbee, Dillon Raymond Ransom, Caitlin Raymond Ransom, Kali Ormsbee, and Kayson Ormsbee; and his close friend, Kathy Welsh. He was predeceased by his son, the late Albert J. Raymond and his brother, the late James S. Raymond.
