Daniel G. Powers, 89
Daniel G. Powers, age 89, of Buzzards Bay, passed away on July 13, 2026, at the Ruth McLain Hospice Home in Braintree. He was the companion of the late Evelyn Inman.
Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Oliver J. and Alice (Stone) Powers.
Dan was a graduate of Brockton High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He worked as a quality control welding inspector for Westinghouse in Hyde Park for many years.
His interests include fishing in Cape Cod, a place he truly loved. He also owned a boat which he enjoyed and most of all, he loved his family.
Daniel is survived by his siblings, Mary E. Mignault of Brockton and Charles P. Powers, of Berryville, AR; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Margaret Mazzola, Theresa Ann Bowden, John Powers, Joseph Powers, and Nancy Tyler.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 5-7pm, at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 9:30 am, for a funeral mass at 10:30 am, in Our Lady of Lourdes, 435 West Street, Brockton. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
