Date set for William "Biff" Goyette's memorial service
A memorial service will be held for William "Biff" Goyette on March 19, at the Elks Lodge, located at 2855 Cranberry Highway in Wareham. The service will be held between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Goyette, owner of the Mill Pond Diner and active member of the Wareham community, passed away in his Onset home on February 21 after a long battle with cancer.
Goyette, 69, lived in Wareham his entire life and was passionate about building strong connections within the community. He was a member the Wareham Elks for more than 40 years.
Over the years Goyette, who has owned and operated The Mill Pond Diner since the early 1970s, garnered a reputation as a first-class caterer. He and his staff provided food for weddings, funerals, and local businesses. The catering company will remain open for business as will the diner. Longtime employees of the restaurant, Tim Weisberg and Matt Costa will stay on and help run the diner along with Goyette's wife Lorrian Goyette.
