David C. West of New Bedford passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday Dec 18. He was born and raised in Wareham where he lived most of his life before moving to New Bedford.

After graduating Wareham High School in 1971, David worked managing the Charter Gas Station for several years. He then worked for Seven Hills Behavioral Health Center in Fall River for 20 years, as well as C.A.B Transportation LLC.

He was the son of the late Nelson H. (Jim) West and Joan E (McKenzie). He was predeceased by his brother, the late James N. (Jim ) West.

David enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia, going to Ridley's Autograph Signings with his long time buddy, Miguel E. Martinez Sr.,  and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his niece, Jessica Lynn West of Clearwater Florida and her two sons,  Erick and Dyllon; his nephew, Randy M. Jenney of New Port Richey, Florida; his nephew, Scott R. Jenney and his wife Christine of Hudson, Florida; and their two sons Nicholas and Raymond; his niece Jessica Lee West of New Port Richey, and her daughter Sage; and his goddaughter, Amanda Lamb of Mattapoisett.

A service, which will be held at a later date, will be announced.
