David W. Govoni, 79, of Wareham, died July 27  at home. He was the husband of Sally A. (Walden) Govoni and the son of the late Guerreno L. and Evelyn (Bonfiglioli) Govoni.

He was born in Wareham and lived there all of his life.

He graduated from Wareham High School, class of 1955 and graduated Cum Laude from Boston College.

Mr. Govoni worked as a Bank Examiner for FDIC for many years before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Sally A. Govoni of Wareham; his children, Susan Sequeira and her husband Ronald of Buzzards Bay, David Govoni and his wife Jessica of Marion and Timothy Govoni and his wife Jennifer of Wareham, a brother, Richard Govoni and his wife Lisa of Rochester, two sisters, Jean Nyman of Wareham and Mary Ann Miles and her husband Leonard of Pueblo West, Colorado, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His memorial service will be held at noon on Sunday, August 6 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy, Wareham. Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday prior to the service.
