Wareham High School's Best Buddies received $1000 from the Tastes and Sounds of the Atlantic Coast dinner held on Sept.15 at Salerno's Seaside Function Hall through the the Salerno family and representatives of Massachusetts Children's Relief.

WHS's Best Buddies pairs students with Intellectual Disabilities with peers to provide friendship for those with disabilities. Members often eat lunch together and play games during the school day.

Best Buddies goes well beyond the school walls and school day with after- school activities, parties, bowling during school vacations and by attending cultural and sporting events in the area.
