The Wareham Police Department will sponsor 20 Wareham youth to attend D.A.R.E camp this summer after receiving a donation.

Myrna Amado, organizer of Ashley Faye Family Fun Day, donated $1,500 to the Wareham Police Department on Monday, May 20. 

The D.A.R.E summer camp is a week-long program for children entering grades five or six to learn “skills to resist alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, and violence.”

Participants will attend this summer’s camp with Juvenile Detective Karl Baptiste and his K-9, Lexi.
